ALL IN ONE NIGHT  - (LIFESIGHS, My group duoing with Chris Buckley of Rod Stewart fame , both of us formerly of Clique and Cache)

.... and yes it was.  

10pm Friday At the end of a week of demoing 5 songs, we relaxed, but did we ... I continued and jammed and created a drum beat.  Chris came in and said what’s that?  So funky the beat he jumped on with some chords on the DC7, then a bassline. I sang and wrote lyrics.

   By 6am Saturday morning we’d completed ‘All in one night’.

Monday - our manager came and heard our 5 demos. .  “Oh, there’s another song we did” we told him. We played just half a minute of ‘All in one night’ and he picked up the phone to book Berry St Studios. 

  2 weeks after it’s release we went to do out first PA and were shocked at our reception by the club owners.  When all in the crowd sang along to every word we looked at each shocked again. Had no idea radio stations were playing it all day.  Thanks too to the legend that is Tony Blackburn for championing it.. many “Soul Nights Out” shows did we do with him. 

Jonathan Ross found us touring and brought us to Channel 4 to perform on Soul Train UK, hosted by Shalamar’s Jeffrey Daniels.
